Nine, four and two - the age gaps between the three could be a great divide between these boys. However, despite their age differences we seek out the common threads that bring them together as a band of brothers.
My favorite thread so far is that they are all great adventurers. Our long weekend at Beavers Bend State Park was amazing. This was our backyard and it did my heart good to see with everything else stripped away they had each other - as companions, as rescuers (someone is only two), and as explorers of life.
We loved it so much we are already planning our trip back in the Fall.
